Premium estimates are based on ABI 2026/27 market averages and standard rating factors. Actual premiums vary significantly by insurer, postcode, occupation, mileage, and excess. This tool is for guidance only and does not constitute an insurance quote.

Select your vehicle category and enter your age. Insurance premiums are most influenced by age, vehicle type, and no-claims discount. The calculator uses ABI and market benchmark data to produce estimates. Young drivers under 25 and older drivers over 75 typically pay the highest premiums. NCD levels up to five years provide the most substantial discount — five or more years claim-free can halve your premium with most insurers. The three cover levels shown — third party, TPFT, and comprehensive — are benchmarks; comprehensive is often cheaper than TPFT because higher-risk drivers disproportionately choose TPFT. Postcode, annual mileage, occupation, and the specific vehicle registration all materially affect actual quotes. Use this to set expectations, then compare at least three actual quotes before renewing.
